EPISODE 10

IT CEO Jason Esch on Technology, Leading with Purpose and Focusing on Family

JULY 22, 2026

What if the key to getting technology right has less to do with the software and more to do with how you lead the people behind it?

“A lot of people think legacy is what you leave behind. For me, it's more about how do I live that every day”

Technology is often viewed as a tool, but for Jason Esch, it’s a vehicle for solving meaningful business challenges and creating lasting impact. Greg Weimer sits down with Jason, an entrepreneur, technology executive, and owner of TeamLogic IT Pittsburgh, to discuss his unconventional path into the technology industry, why he considers himself a business leader first and a technologist second, and how empathy has become a defining force in both his professional and personal life.

Together, they explore how strong relationships, purpose-driven leadership, and a commitment to serving others can transform both organizations and communities. Jason shares practical insights on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, while reflecting on the leadership principles that guide his work, his passion for developing future leaders, and the lessons he’s learned through family, entrepreneurship, and service. Their conversation is a reminder that legacy isn’t defined by titles or technology—it’s built through the lives we impact every day.
