Director of Retirement Plan Services
Job Description
The Director of Retirement Plan Services plays an integral role in driving the growth of the firm by sourcing new business for the department. Additionally, the Director serves as the point-person for the plan sponsors and other Retirement Services clients. The successful candidate will have a strong history of achieving goals, coupled with a vision for building a well-functioning department.
Robust previous experience in Retirement Plan Services will help the successful candidate to make well-informed decisions. A demonstrated ability to both sell plans to business owners and service those plans to each individual client’s satisfaction will be essential to the success of any candidate. Previous experience managing personnel will be invaluable as the firm continues to grow this important offering for our community.

Responsibilities
- Network with individuals in the region to facilitate the growth of Confluence’s Retirement Plan Services division
- Regularly achieve sales growth goals for the department as set by firm management
- Directly supervise Client Service Associates assigned to the Retirement Plan Services department
- Foster positive working relationships with all members of the Retirement Plan Service community, including employers, recordkeepers, TPAs, and others
- Coordinate education session for individual 401(k) clients
- Facilitate the servicing of the 401(k) plans, either directly, or indirectly through assignments to other members of the team
- Function as an asset to the Wealth Managers within the firm regarding Retirement Planning
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, human resources, or related field
- Previous industry experience in Retirement Plan Services
- Previous experience supervising a department and managing employees
- Bold vision for department creation
- Demonstrated ability to execute a plan
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and education
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Work Location: Greater Pittsburgh Region
